The heart and soul of Positive Impact is its many energetic and dedicated volunteers and staff who are never paid. A wide range of talent, resources, ideas and creative minds make up a dynamic group of people who can get the job done! As a nonprofit with no paid employees, our hope was that Positive Impact would provide the community with a means to help others in need. That vision is alive and well as church groups, Girl Scout troops, neighbors and individuals give of their time and resources to make a difference to those in need in their communities. Positive Impact currently has a group of 30 energetic people who are meeting monthly to discuss the details of our annual fund raiser, The Scrub Ball. In addition to planning the details of this event, this committee is also soliciting donations that will be included in the live and silent auctions at this event. We are also seeking table and corporate sponsorships to help make this event a big success. Volunteers are also encouraged to get involved in our major fund raising campaigns when they are in progress. Those who become involved in our efforts help us grow by finding supporters for our organization who will donate time, goods, services or resources. The community involvement that takes place during these campaigns is the basis that makes them successful fund raisers, and provides an opportunity to directly aid an individual in need. We continue to look for sponsor families who can help others in need through our Christmas Adopt-A-Family Program. Families who qualify for this program provide shopping lists that Positive Impact distributes to sponsor families. After the gifts are purchased and wrapped, a Positive Impact representative delivers them to the needy family in time for the Christmas holiday.
